The Kahles K864 is a purpose-built F-Class competition scope offering an 8–64x magnification range and a 56 mm objective lens. Designed around the specific demands of long-range precision shooting. It features Kahles' VISIONFLEX optical system for an exceptionally wide field of view and a generous eyebox, making it one of the most technically capable scopes available for the benchrest and F-Class disciplines.
F-Class and long-range benchrest shooting demand optics that can keep pace with the shooter, and the Kahles K864 was designed to do exactly that. The 8–64x56 magnification range covers everything from initial set-up at moderate distances through to the extreme precision required at full power, and the 56 mm objective lens delivers the performance to match.
At the heart of the K864 is Kahles' VISIONFLEX optical system, a proprietary design that provides a field of view 64% wider than the K1050 at 40x. Combined with a remarkably generous eyebox that remains consistent across the entire magnification range. For competitive shooters spending long sessions behind the glass, this translates into a noticeably more natural and fatigue-free experience.
The elevation and windage turrets use 1/8 MOA clicks with counter-clockwise adjustment direction, and the top-mounted parallax sits directly below the elevation turret, allowing full control with one hand without reaching across the scope body. The EASYREAD turret markings are clear and legible under competition conditions, while the mechanical REVOLUTION INDICATOR gives a continuous, at-a-glance read of the current turret revolution. A ZERO INDEX mechanical stop sits 2–3 clicks below zero, allowing a quick and repeatable return to your confirmed zero between strings.
The 36 mm main tube, second focal plane MOAK+ reticle, and 92 mm eye relief complete a specification that has clearly been thought through by people who understand what F-Class competitors actually want and need from a scope.
Kahles back it with a 10 year warranty.

The K864 uses counter-clockwise (CCW) elevation adjustment in 1/8 MOA increments, with 20 MOA per revolution. The EASYREAD labelling makes the current turret position easy to read quickly. A mechanical REVOLUTION INDICATOR shows which revolution you are on at a glance, and a ZERO INDEX mechanical stop, set 2–3 clicks below your confirmed zero after zeroing, allows a fast and repeatable return to zero between strings without having to count clicks. Total elevation adjustment range is approximately 55 MOA.
The K864 was built specifically for F-Class competition, in particular F/Open, where front and rear rests are permitted and there are no calibre restrictions below .35. The magnification range, 1/8 MOA click adjustment, top-mounted parallax, and wide field of view all reflect the practical demands of shooting at 300–1,000 yards under competition conditions. It is not a "do everything" scope, it is a dedicated competition optic.
VISIONFLEX is Kahles' optical design system that delivers a significantly wider field of view and a more forgiving eyebox than conventional high-magnification scopes. Compared to the earlier K1050 at 40x, the K864 offers 64% more field of view at equivalent magnification. In F-Class terms, that means wind flags and neighbouring targets remain visible at high power, mirage is easier to read across a wider area, and there is less fatigue during long strings of fire, all without having to dial the magnification back down.
The K864 uses a non-illuminated MOAK+ reticle in the second focal plane. In a second focal plane scope, the reticle remains a constant apparent size regardless of magnification, which is standard practice for dedicated competition scopes where shooters work at known distances and consistent power settings. The MOAK+ reticle is designed for fine, precise aiming rather than low-light or rapid-acquisition use.
The K864 is built on a 36 mm main tube larger than the 34 mm and 30 mm tubes found on most hunting and general-purpose scopes. You will need rings or mounts specified for 36 mm. It is also worth noting that the distance between the turrets and the ocular lens is longer than on some comparable scopes. So a cantilever mount may be required depending on your rail length and preferred eye relief position.
