Holosun HM3X Magnifier
Price includes VAT
A compact 3x magnifier with a quick-detach, flip-to-side Picatinny mount for fast transitions between magnified and unmagnified shooting. The Holosun HM3X pairs with red dot and reflex sights and ships with a spacer for both absolute and lower 1/3 co-witness heights.
Description
Key Features:
3x fixed magnification: extends red dot engagement range for target identification at distance.
Quick-detach, ambidextrous flip-to-side mount for instant transitions between 1x and 3x.
Absolute and lower 1/3 co-witness compatibility via included spacer.
70 mm eye relief and 7.6 mm exit pupil: comfortable sight picture with a wide 7° field of view.
IP67-rated and nitrogen-purged aluminium housing for fog-proof, waterproof performance.
Windage and elevation adjustments (0.5 MOA per click, ±50 MOA travel) for precise alignment with your primary optic.
±3 dioptre adjustment to fine-tune focus for individual eyesight.
Red dot sights are fast at close quarters, but there are times when a little extra reach makes all the difference, confirming a target at distance, reading fall of shot, or simply getting a clearer picture of what you're looking at. The HM3X is a 3x magnifier built to sit behind your red dot and flip into the sight line only when you need it.
The flip-to-side mount is quick-detach and fully ambidextrous, so the magnifier swings clear in a single motion when you want to revert to unmagnified shooting. A lower 1/3 co-witness spacer is included alongside the standard-height mount, which means the HM3X will line up correctly with most common red dot mounting configurations without needing to source additional parts.
Optical quality is strong for the price point. A 70 mm eye relief keeps the sight picture comfortable and forgiving on head position, while a 7.6 mm exit pupil and 7° field of view make target acquisition straightforward. The ±3 dioptre adjustment ring lets you dial the focus to suit your own eyesight. A worthwhile feature for shooters who wear corrective lenses or find themselves squinting through other magnifiers.
Holosun have built the housing from aluminium with an MAO surface finish, nitrogen-purged the internals to prevent fogging, and sealed it to IP67 for full dust and water protection. Windage and elevation adjustments are included so you can align the magnifier precisely with your primary optic, and a multi-tool for those adjustments comes in the box.
A well-judged magnifier for rifle and carbine shooters who want to extend the capability of an existing red dot setup without adding excessive weight or complexity.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the flip-to-side mount left-handed friendly?
Yes, the mount is fully ambidextrous. It can be configured to flip to either side, so it works equally well for right- and left-handed shooters.
How do I adjust the HM3X to match my red dot's zero?
The magnifier has built-in windage and elevation adjustments (0.5 MOA per click, ±50 MOA travel). Use the multi-tool included in the box to fine-tune alignment until the magnified image sits centred on your red dot's point of aim.
Is the Holosun HM3X waterproof?
It is IP67 rated, meaning it is fully sealed against dust and can withstand temporary submersion in water up to one metre deep. The internals are nitrogen-purged to prevent fogging in cold or wet conditions.
What red dot sights is the Holosun HM3X compatible with?
The HM3X is designed to work with any red dot or reflex sight mounted on a Picatinny rail. It ships with a spacer that lets you set it up at either absolute co-witness or lower 1/3 co-witness height, so it will align with most common red dot mounting configurations, including Holosun's own 400 and 500 series sights, as well as those from other manufacturers.
What does the included spacer do?
Without the spacer fitted, the HM3X sits at absolute co-witness height. Adding the spacer raises it to lower 1/3 co-witness. Which you need depends on how your red dot is mounted. If your red dot uses a lower 1/3 riser, fit the spacer so the magnifier lines up with it.
What is the difference between the HM3X and the HM3XT?
The HM3XT is a titanium-housed version of the same magnifier. The optical specs are largely the same, but the titanium housing is lighter and more durable. The HM3X uses an aluminium body with an MAO finish, which keeps the price lower while still offering IP67 water resistance and 1,000G shock rating.
Can I use the HM3X on an air rifle?
Yes. As long as the rifle has a Picatinny rail, the magnifier will mount directly. The 1,000G shock rating means it will comfortably handle the recoil from spring-powered and gas-ram air rifles, which can be harder on optics than centrefire firearms.
