Description

Thermal imaging and red dot sights have traditionally meant carrying two separate optics or committing to a dedicated thermal scope. The Holosun DRS-TH changes that equation entirely, packaging both technologies into a single enclosed reflex sight that mounts directly to any Picatinny rail.

At its core sits a 256×192 thermal sensor feeding a high-resolution 1024×768 OLED display at 50 frames per second. The thermal overlay sits behind Holosun's Multi-Reticle System, letting you choose between a precise 2 MOA dot, a fast-acquisition 65 MOA circle, or both together. The same MRS flexibility found across the wider Holosun range. Four thermal palettes (White Hot, Black Hot, Outline, and Highlight) let you tailor the image to suit different terrain, vegetation, and lighting conditions, while selectable 1×, 3×, and 5× digital zoom helps with target identification at longer range.

When thermal capability isn't required, flipping the front lens cap down converts the DRS-TH into a conventional parallax-free reflex sight with unlimited eye relief and over 50,000 hours of battery life from its red dot emitter alone. That dual-purpose design means you aren't sacrificing daytime performance for the sake of night-time capability.

Built-in video and image recording captures thermal footage to onboard storage at the press of a single button, useful for reviewing shot placement or documenting pest control work.

Construction is 7075 T6 aluminium with an anodised finish, rated to IP67 for waterproofing and tested to withstand 1000G of shock. Two rechargeable 18350 lithium-ion batteries power the thermal sensor for up to 10 hours, and a USB charging cable is included.

Windage and elevation adjustments click at 0.5 MOA increments across a ±50 MOA range, giving enough travel for zeroing at practical distances.

An outstanding choice for stalkers, pest controllers, and night shooters who want thermal detection and a capable daytime red dot without switching between optics.

Key Features:

  • 256×192 thermal sensor with 1024×768 OLED display at 50 FPS: smooth, clear thermal imaging.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Holosun DRS-TH?

The DRS-TH is a dual-purpose optic that combines a conventional red dot reflex sight with an integrated 256×192 thermal imaging sensor. It lets you switch between a standard red dot sight picture and a thermal fusion overlay by simply flipping the front lens cap up or down, giving you daytime and night-time capability in a single unit.

What batteries does the DRS-TH use, and how long do they last?

The DRS-TH runs on two rechargeable 18350 lithium-ion batteries, accessible from a side tray that can be opened while the optic is still mounted. With the thermal sensor active, expect up to 10–12 hours of runtime depending on brightness settings and whether WiFi or recording features are in use. In red dot-only mode (lens cap down), battery life extends to over 50,000 hours thanks to Holosun's energy-efficient LED emitter and Shake Awake technology.

How do I charge the batteries?

A magnetic USB charging cable is included. You can charge the batteries while they remain inside the optic, there's no need to remove the DRS-TH from your rifle to top up.

What mount does the DRS-TH use?

It mounts directly to any standard Picatinny rail via a robust, hand-tightened bolt. No adaptor plates are needed for rifles, shotguns, or carbines with a Picatinny-profile top rail.

What thermal modes are available?

The DRS-TH offers four primary thermal palettes. White Hot, Black Hot, Outline, and Highlight. Plus a Fusion mode that overlays the thermal image with the red dot reticle. You can switch between these to suit different terrain, vegetation, and lighting conditions.

Does the DRS-TH have digital zoom?

Yes. Selectable 1×, 3×, and 5× digital zoom lets you magnify the thermal image for improved target identification at longer distances. The zoom is digital rather than optical, so the base magnification of the reflex sight remains 1×.

Can I record video or take photos through the thermal?

Yes. The DRS-TH has built-in video and image recording with 32GB of onboard storage. Recording is activated at the press of a single button, useful for reviewing shot placement, documenting pest control work, or sharing footage.

Is the DRS-TH waterproof?

It carries an IP67 rating, meaning it's fully protected against dust ingress and can withstand temporary submersion in water up to one metre deep. It's also tested to 1000G shock resistance and operates in temperatures from −20°C to 51°C.

What reticle options does the DRS-TH have?

It uses Holosun's Multi-Reticle System (MRS), giving you three options: a precise 2 MOA dot on its own, a fast-acquisition 65 MOA circle on its own, or both together. Brightness is adjustable across 8 daylight and 4 night-vision compatible settings.
