Description

Key Features:

  • Harris S-BRM Bipod with a 6–9-inch range provides a low support position for bench and prone shooting

  • 6–9-inch height range keeps the rifle close to the firing point
Notched legs lock at 1-inch intervals for quick, repeatable height settings

  • Swivel base allows side-to-side tilt to level the rifle on uneven ground

  • Spring-loaded legs deploy quickly and fold towards the muzzle for carrying

  • Sling swivel stud mounting includes a built-in stud so the sling can remain fitted

  • 14 oz construction uses heat-treated steel and hard alloys to limit added weight

This low-profile bipod is intended for shooters who mainly work from a bench or a low prone position. The swivel action is the useful distinction when the firing point is not level, allowing the rifle to be brought upright without forcing both legs onto the same plane. Harris Bipods uses push-button notches rather than friction locks on this model, which makes a previous leg setting easier to repeat.

At 14 oz, it adds support without the bulk of a taller field bipod. The trade-off is the limited 6-9 inch working height, so it is less suitable where long grass or steep ground demands extra clearance. When stowed, the legs fold forwards and are held by spring tension.

Before fitting, confirm that the rifle has a standard sling swivel stud and enough clearance around the forend. Some thin carbine-style stocks and Schnabel forends may require a suitable adapter. Browse our bipods and rests if a taller or rail-mounted support would better suit your rifle.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Harris S-BRM attach to a rifle?

The Harris S-BRM attaches to a standard sling swivel stud using its screw clamp. Check the rifle is unloaded before fitting and make sure the stud sits correctly in the bipod base. Harris notes that some thin carbine-style stocks and Schnabel forends may not fit directly, in which case a suitable adapter may be required.

How are the notched legs adjusted?

Its legs extend from 6 to 9 inches and lock at 1-inch intervals. Pressing the release button lets each spring-loaded leg extend to maximum height, while the notches provide positive intermediate settings. This makes the model easy to set consistently for bench shooting or a low prone position.

Does the Harris S-BRM tilt on uneven ground?

Yes. The S-BRM base swivels, or tilts, so the rifle can be levelled when the surface beneath the legs is uneven. Resistance is adjusted using the knurled nut at the rear of the Series S base. The swivel does not alter the 6–9-inch height range or the notched leg adjustment.

Can a sling remain attached when the bipod is fitted?

Yes. The Harris S-BRM has a built-in sling swivel stud, allowing a sling to remain attached after the bipod has been mounted to the rifle's existing stud. Always check that the bipod clamp and sling connection are secure before carrying or using the rifle, following the manufacturer's attachment instructions.
