It also fits the GSG 922 .22 LR pistol. It will not fit the GSG-16 carbine, which uses a different magazine, so don't mix the two up.
The spring is stiff from new, which makes the last round or two a real fight. That's normal. A few range sessions beds the spring in and loading gets easier. Forcing it isn't necessary.
