The Garmin Xero C2 is a compact Doppler radar chronograph that measures projectile speeds from 100 to 5,000 fps. With rapid-fire tracking of up to 10 shots per second, Garmin smartwatch integration, and the ShotView app for live session data, it's the most connected shooting chronograph available.
100–5,000 fps velocity range — suitable for air rifles, rimfire, centrefire, arrows, and shotgun slugs.
Rapid-fire tracking at up to 10 shots per second for load development strings.
ShotView app and Garmin smartwatch integration for live session data and remote control.
Applied Ballistics connectivity: import muzzle velocity directly into the AB ecosystem.
Rechargeable battery lasting up to 2,000 shots or 6 hours of continuous use.
IPX7 water resistance for reliable use in all weather conditions.
Compact and rifle-mountable at just 123g: no effect on zero or barrel harmonics.
Accurate muzzle velocity data is the foundation of any serious ballistics setup, and the Garmin Xero C2 delivers it in a package small enough to slip into a jacket pocket. Using Doppler radar rather than optical screens, the chronograph reliably captures every shot, including rounds fired through a moderator or with a muzzle brake fitted, across a velocity range of 100 to 5,000 fps.
The biggest upgrade over its predecessor is processing speed. A 10x faster processor supports rapid-fire tracking at up to 10 shots per second for rifles and three shots per second for slower pistol rounds, making it genuinely useful for load development strings where consistency between shots matters. The resume session feature lets you pause and switch between firearms or loads without losing your data structure, keeping everything neatly separated for later analysis.
Where the Xero C2 really sets itself apart is connectivity. Pair it with a compatible Garmin smartwatch to view live velocity readings and control the session from your shooting position, or use the ShotView app on a smartphone to record results, track standard deviation, and manage projectile and load configurations. For long-range shooters, Applied Ballistics integration means muzzle velocity transfers directly into the AB solver without manual entry.
The unit weighs just 123g without its included tripod, mounts directly to a rifle's Picatinny rail, and runs for up to 2,000 shots or six hours on a single charge. An IPX7 rating means rain won't cut a session short. Setup is straightforward: power on, point in the direction of fire, and shoot. A strong choice for reloaders, precision rifle shooters, and anyone who needs dependable velocity data without the bulk of a traditional downrange chronograph.

The C2 builds on the C1 Pro with a processor that's ten times faster, supporting rapid-fire tracking at up to 10 shots per second compared to single-shot capture on the C1 Pro. It also adds Garmin smartwatch integration, Applied Ballistics connectivity via AB Comms, a resume session feature for switching between firearms or loads, and on-device storage for 200 sessions (up from 50). The core Doppler radar sensor and 100–5,000 fps velocity range remain the same.
Yes. Because the sensor uses Doppler radar rather than optical screens triggered by muzzle blast, it reliably captures shots from firearms fitted with moderators, muzzle brakes, or compensators.
The C2 pairs with compatible Garmin smartwatches such as the tactix series. Once connected, you can start and stop sessions, view live velocity data, and import muzzle velocity into the Applied Ballistics solver, all from your wrist without leaving your shooting position. Check Garmin's compatibility list for the full range of supported watches.
Yes. The chronograph measures projectile speeds from 100 fps upward, which comfortably covers air rifles, air pistols, airsoft BBs, pellets, and paintballs as well as centrefire and rimfire ammunition.
The unit comes with a 1/4-20 threaded tripod mount and can be placed on a table, on the ground, or mounted directly to a rifle's Picatinny rail. It needs to be positioned 15–35 cm from the muzzle, pointed in the direction of fire. The reinforced housing is designed to withstand recoil when rifle-mounted.
The rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to 6 hours of continuous use or approximately 2,000 shots on a single charge. It charges via USB-C.
It carries an IPX7 water-resistance rating, meaning it can withstand submersion in up to one metre of water for 30 minutes. In practical terms, rain won't be an issue during a range or field session.
The ShotView app connects to the chronograph via Bluetooth and lets you record results, view live session data, track velocity deviation, and manage projectile and load configurations. You can also pair multiple Xero C2 units to the same app and continue a session across devices.
