Ergo Modular Free Float Rail System 12 Inch - Black
6061 T6 Construction, Type III Black Hard-Coat Anodized. CNC machined lightweight one-piece free float design. Aluminium barrel nut allows mounting of up to 1” diameter barrels.
ERGO Modular Free Float Rail System Features:
- M-LOK® Compatible Slots accept ERGO and all other M-LOK® accessories
- Aluminum Barrel Nut included
- Accepts Ergo WedgeLok® Rail Covers
- Full-length, scalloped Mil-Spec 1913 Picatinny top rail
- 1.8” inside diameter to accept most suppressors
- For AR-15/M16 platforms (Not AR-10, SR25, etc…)
- Uses a standard barrel nut wrench
Installation instructions:
- Clean and inspect the upper receiver, barrel and barrel nut.
- Place the receiver in a proper vice block.
- Coat threads with grease or an anti-seize compound.
- Install the barrel into the receiver. Be sure to align the indexing pin with the slot in the upper receiver.
- Slip barrel nut over barrel and thread onto upper receiver hand tight.
- Using a standard USGI barrel nut wrench, torque nut to 30-50 ft-lbs. Check the alignment of the gas tube hole in the upper receiver. You may need to loosen and tighten the nut once or twice to get proper alignment and torque.
- Install gas tube and gas block, per proper instructions.
- Slip the handguard over the barrel and gas block.
- Align screw holes in the handguard with holes in the barrel nut.
- Start all screws before tightening any of them. We recommend a blue thread-locking compound.
- Make sure everything is aligned properly and installed correctly.
- Tighten all screws.
- Enjoy your new, state-of-the-art handguard.
